A Tribute to Frank

It's with great sadness that Bamville announces the death of Vice President Frank Overton.

Frank loved coming up to Bamville with Jenny on a Sunday afternoon to help out with the scoring (he held the position of 'Scoreboard Operative') and was always on hand to rush out with drinks to grateful batsmen and bowlers!

He will be especially remembered for his amazing good humour; his endless supply of jokes and stories, and his ability to put a smile on anyone's face.
In particular, his hospitality towards away teams was greatly appreciated and has helped to give Bamville its special reputation throughout Hertfordshire.

Frank did a tremendous amount of work for Bamville over many years and as the Club's most successful recruitment agent he attracted a number of new players.
His memory will live on with 'Frank and Jenny's Cup' which will be awarded annually for the best young cricketer (for batting, bowling or fielding).

The Club has lost one of it's most important members and Vice Presidents.

"Thank you Frank" - you will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
