End-of-Season Work Parties!
We need your help at the end-of-season work parties, October 3rd and 10th from 10am to around lunchtime. Biscuits and malt loaf will be supplied. Please attend if you can, even if it's just for half an hour! Bring a shovel, a garden fork and any other appropriate tools and remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty!
Thursday Night Work Parties
Thursday night work parties are an integral part of the season. Without the work parties, no work gets done around the pavilion, nor on the pitch.
We desperately need your help!
The jobs we do on Thursdays include:
- Scarifying and mowing the pitch
- Marking the pitch
- Rolling (requires at least 6 people)
- Mowing and marking the boundary
- Sweeping the net and the area in front of the pavilion
- Preparing the kit for Saturday's match
- Hoovering the Pavilion
When there is time, we have some fielding practice and then retire to the bar.
As you can see, the number of jobs is doable by a handful of people, but will be done quicker and more effectively the more people that turn up.
